Community Capital recently worked with the development team of The Henry Turley Company and Belz Enterprises in the redevelopment of two public housing complexes for the Uptown Memphis revitalization initiative.  Community Capital served as Financial Advisor for this project which cost over $150 million. The Uptown Memphis project includes two additional phases which includes a single family homeownership program and the development of a 69-unit senior housing facility.

Uptown Square Apartments
Uptown Square Apartments
Uptown Square Apartments was the redevelopment of the historic Lauderdale Courts public housing complex. The complex has been redeveloped into a 347-unit mixed income community and was financed with a combination of conventional financing, historic tax credits, public housing grant funds and other public improvement funds. Total project costs $36 million.

Greenlaw Apartments
Greenlaw Apartments is a new 88-unit complex in the Greeenlaw community The project was financed with a combination of HOPE VI funds, low income housing tax credits, conventional financing and other public funds. Total project costs $10.8 million.

 

 

 

 

 

The Metropolitan Apartments
The Metropolitan Apartments
The Metropolitan Apartments is a recently constructed 114-unit complex on the former public housing site known as Hurt Village. The project was financed with a combination of HOPE VI funds, low income housing tax credits, conventional financing and other public improvement funds. Total project costs $11.8 million.

 

 

 

 

Uptown Senior Housing Facility is a 69-unit senior independent living facility for persons age 62 and older with incomes at or below 60% of area median income. The project was financed with a combination of HOPE VI funds, tax-exempt bonds and low income housing tax credits. Total project costs $7.9 million.
